Cray's Third Person Template:

This is the Best camera and movement set up I've seen for third person adventures in Blender. It's GLSL supported and has many features. It's also being constantly updated. As of posting it's about a month old but it shows truely great potential. If you are looking to make a platformer, RPG or any third person game this is a great place to start. There are many commercial games that could learn from this great movement and camera setup!

First Person Shooter Template:

There are two main FPS templates.

Social's FPS Template:

This is the classic FPS template that BGE users have been using for years. It has all the tools to create generic FPS movement including crouching, shooting (that affects physical objects) and much more. It's a great place to start

Simpler FPS Template:

This is a much more experimental template that has some nice features for those who want to make something a bit more SciFi. It is a little less polished but boasts many features not available in Social's Template. I reccomend that you try both and decide what suits your purpose better

The Top Ten Tips of Texturing:

This is a great read for all budding texture artists. It will give you many great techniques as well as reducing the chances you will make the classic mistakes beginners tend to make

Blender Gamekit 1:

While slightly out-dated this is the version 1 of the ever popular GameKit. You should strongly concider buying GameKit 2 but in the meantime the origional version has been made a free resource

Very Simple Bot AI using Logic Bricks by Mmph!:

Bricks are not the best way to do AI. Python is the way to go. That said some people dont have the chance to use Python AI. This tutorial series is rather old but it is still aplicable. It's easy to follow and can be used to create some basic AI easily as well as giving you ideas on how to modify and tweek the AI for your purposes. If you dont have the time or someone else to learn Python then this AI is for you.
